Five Element Seasonal Qigong Series with Maria Chowdhury
5- Part Series 
Free & Open to All

Join Maria Chowdhury of Path with Harmony Qigong for a free 5-part Seasonal Qigong series in the Art and Movement Room at The Fayetteville Public Library. 

Join us for Qigong, a gentle, meditative movement practice that supports nervous system regulation, balance, and overall well-being.

 

This series of classes will emphasize breath, posture, and mindful movement, helping participants build strength, flexibility, and inner awareness while reducing stress and restoring vitality. These classes will be offered seasonally in April, June, August, and October. Make sure you mark your calendar to join us through the seasons! 

This standing practice includes warm-ups, stretches, and meditative movement, and can be adapted for seated practice based on your comfort and needs.

Let’s flow together, because every movement is a step toward more grace, ease, and joy in your life.

In this session, we will:

 

  • ​Tap into the season of Spring and the qualities of the wood element to cultivate resilience with strength and flexibility.

  • Ignite your confidence to pursue your inner visions and the motivation to bring them to life.

  • Learn how to fundamentally “rewire” your response to everyday stress so you don’t get thrown off balance as easily

Session 2:
Summer Qigong

Qigong for Anxiety &
A Healthy Stress Response

Transform Stress & Anxiety into Inner Peace, Tranquility, & Courage

Stress and anxiety are natural responses to modern life, but they don’t have to rule your life.​​

In this session, you will:

  • Fertilize your internal energy system—like tending a garden—to cultivate lasting tranquility

  • Fortify a protective energetic shield and release other people’s energy that doesn’t belong to you.

  • Cleanse your body of anxiety and stress, so they no longer freeze or drain your life force.

  • Learn how to restore balance, reclaim your inner calm, and strengthen your energetic boundaries.

Late Summer Qigong

A Healthy Digestive System

In this session, we will:

 

  • ​Tap into the season of Late Summer and the qualities of the earth element to cultivate present moment awareness with grounded stability.

  • Nourish yourself energetically, activate your inner peacemaker, and ignight your healthy digestion.

  • Learn how to stay grounded and centered so you don’t get thrown off balance as easily.

Session 4:
Autumn Qigong

Qigong for Better Breathing &
A Healthy Immune System

In this session, we will…

  • Practice breathing techniques to energize the lungs to eliminate fatigue so you can fully express your unique gifts and serve those in need.

  • Activate your guardian Qi and boost your immune system naturally.

  • Learn how to work skillfully with the metal element with simple Qigong movements to come into alignment and your integrity.

  • Release feelings of grief and sadness, and gently shift them into feelings of inspiration and courage.

Session 5:
Winter Qigong

Qigong for Mobility &
Healthy Joints

Our joints are like pockets where energy is stored, and it's important that we practice healthy movements to keep our energy pathways open and free.

 

In this session, we will:

  • Focus on releasing old energy that may be stored in our joints and freeing up new energy to help us feel healthy and vital.

  • Practice Joint mobility exercises.

  • Relax into gentle stretches.

  • Work to improve our range of motion.

  • Move with relaxation and flow
