Love and Kindness Qigong Workshop
Saturday, July 29 @ 1-4 pm
$45.00 - $80.00
This workshop will provide a fun and joyful afternoon full of love and connection as we practice Qigong for Love and Kindness. This unique form of Qigong will have you laughing and feeling more spacious, joyous, and peaceful in your life, body, and spirit.
In this workshop, you will learn:
*A complete practice for physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being using simple, healing Qigong movements and meditations.
*A routine to develop and enhance feelings of compassion, kindness, and love towards self that naturally radiates toward others.
*The Lotus Flow: a Buddhist Qigong movement to open the heart and increase feelings of empathy, love, and connection to all beings
*A seated loving kindness guided meditation.
This practice amplifies your body’s natural ability to heal and have a healthy heart. This workshop is suitable for all people, and you do not need any Qigong experience.
Practicing meditation and Qigong have been shown to decrease migraines, chronic pain, and PTSD and activate the emotional and empathetic processing centers in the brain. Thus creating a feeling of more spaciousness and peace in your life and body.
What to Expect:
*The workshop will begin with an introduction and teaching about Qigong, why it is so amazing, and how you can benefit most from the practice.
*After a short break, we will do the Qigong practice for about an hour. (This standing practice can easily be adapted as a seated practice).
*We will have another short break followed by a Q&A, discussion, and sharing session.
*We will end our time with another short practice and a guided meditation. As we complete our time together, you are invited to share what you learned and experienced with the practice.
What to Bring:
*Comfortable workout clothes and tennis shoes.
*Your beautiful open heart.
*Your journal and a pen for taking notes.
*A snack and water to stay nourished and hydrated (Ozark Folkways is not near many restaurants or grocery stores, please take this into consideration when packing).
If you have any questions about this event or Qigong, you can learn more at www.ozarkfolkways.org or contact us.
